Biography:
Crystal Petersson has worked in the hospitality industry for 8 years. Her career started at Quail Lodge, where she first realized her true passion in planning events for people. “I love every aspect of an event, including food, beverage, décor and ultimately the final product; the look on a clients face is the only expression I need, to know if it was a success.” Crystal has also worked for Valley Resort Management as a coordinator for the Director of Catering and multiple Conference Services Managers. When an opportunity arose to join Pebble Beach Company, she jumped at the chance because she grew up in that area, and knew that the company had a great reputation for service, employees and growth opportunity. Since then, her career has catapulted; within 5 years, she went from a Coordinator in Conference Services to Small Group Sales Manager to her current position as a Catering & Conference Services Manager. Her biggest thrill: “I get to plan and execute parties for a living!”

Currently she is training to participate in the Big Sur Half Marathon in November and would like to eventually compete in the full marathon. She is a level 1 Certified Sommelier and is working towards obtaining her Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certificate.

MCYPG acts as an excellent sounding board and home base for people in many different industries to meet, mingle, brainstorm and come away with great friendships, business relationships and inspiration to take a bigger part in our great community. Crystal enjoys experiencing the encouragement and motivation that MCYPG and its members offer.

The best career advice Crystal ever received was: “You have to have the heart of a servant to be successful in the hospitality field”.

When she’s not working, Crystal enjoys wine tasting in sunny Carmel Valley, shopping, dining, and the beach in Carmel, and relaxing in Big Sur or Monterey. In addition to exploring the diverse Monterey Peninsula, she loves spending time with her two beautiful sons and her husband, Sonny.
