Biography:

Dre Hernandez, 25, was born in Tacoma, WA, though she considers Virginia Beach, VA her hometown. After graduating from James Madison University with a Bachelors degree in Justice Studies, she moved to Monterey to be closer to family. The U.S. Navy offered her a full-time job, while she finished her Master’s degree in Financial Management. She graduated in September 2010 and works on financial agreements for the government. Dre is a writer for the Monterey Examiner/Latin Clubs, is active in fundraising for the American Cancer Society and is a supporter of nonprofit organizations, including Dress for Success and the Young Women’s Christian Association.
