Job Title: Weekday Morning Weather Forecaster/Environmental Reporter/Web Insider

Biography:
Tamara Berg is a familiar face around the Central Coast. You can catch her weather forecast every morning on the Central Coast Morning News on CBS. Tamara has been working in the media for over 5 years. She started out in the business working behind the scenes, and after a year she was offered her first on-air position as a reporter/weekend weathercaster. Tamara is an accomplished communicator who’s been recognized for her feature reporting and awarded a Regional Emmy as part of Toledo’s Best Weekend Newscast. Tamara moved to the Central Coast from Ohio, where she attended Baldwin-Wallace College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Broadcasting and Mass Communications. She then went onto Mississippi State University’s Distance Learning Program to obtain a B.S. in Broadcast Meteorology.

In Ohio, Tamara was a member of two young professional groups. Some of her accomplishments include working closely with the chamber of commerce board, planning successful mixers, and helping start several area races. It’s that same dedication and commitment Tamara plans to bring to the MCYPG Management Team.

Being a member of MCYPG has given Tamara the opportunity to meet leaders in the community, network with local businesses, and stay active in her community. She believes we are all truly fortunate to call Monterey County home, and that it’s up to the young professionals to keep this area growing and thriving.

The best career advice Tamara ever received was from NBC Reporter Bob Dotson. “The best kind of stories touch the viewer’s heart and make an impact on the community.”

When she’s not working, Tamara enjoys running, hiking, biking, golfing, strength training, turbo kick, softball, and volleyball. She also enjoys attending a number of Monterey County events, including Pebble Beach Food & Wine, AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournament, and the Rio Grille New Year’s 10k Run.
